Talking Cafés are a great opportunity to meet people, make new connections and learn more about your community. Pop in for a quick cuppa, or stay for some longer conversations with friendly people.
Wellby Talking Cafés welcome everyone and anyone. There is no need to register, just turn up on the day.

GP/Nurse Clinics in Tapawera
Wakefield Health Centre provides services in Tapawera during school term time.
GP Clinic: Held Mondays 9am-12midday at the Plunket Rooms in Rata Street.
Nurse Clinics: A Nurse Clinic is held every second Tuesday from 12:30–1:30pm in the Health Room at Tapawera Area School. The clinic is free to school pupils.

We are a great welcoming group of over-65s that meet every month for social connection, a cuppa
and morning tea and to learn something new, about ourselves or what services are available
to us. Please join us at the Memorial Hall Tapawera (Next to the toy library).
Tapawera Op Shop
Clothing, furniture, toys and household items all at very good prices!
Donations of good quality clothing and small furniture are welcome on our opening days. (no electrical goods please).
All proceeds go back into the community.
Community Library
The community library is part of the school library at Tapawera Area School.
Open to residents during term time on weekdays 10.30am-1.30pm. Members can also get book outs in school hours through contacting the school office.
The library is located directly behind the tennis courts at the school. Membership is free and the library has a great range of adult fiction and non-fiction books. Members can access the library catalogue online.
