TDCC Constitution Consultation Process

Proposed process for consulting on TDCC’s constitution May 2026 Dear community member, We are looking at revisiting TDCC’s constitution, as requested by members, but first we need to develop a protocol for the consultation process. Please find below the draft consultation process regarding the constitution, which we will be considering at our June meeting. Art Workshop Community Centre Fundraiser

I am proposing to run art sessions at my home to raise funds for the refurbishment and upgrading of the Community Centre building. I suggest a meeting of those who are interested so that a plan, of up to four folk maximum at this stage, is manageable with regular attendance and payments that will benefit us all. I intend to start this project at my home in the village. Maybe this workshop proposal will expand to the Community Centre in due course? Please contact me if you would like to be involved. I suggest you contact me via my email

Your Community Council’s submission to Tasman District Council’s Annual Plan 2026

Annual Plan 2026/2027 Written Submission on behalf TDCC Tapawera & Districts Community Council supports a pause on the proposed Tapawera Hub project at this time. Further, we do not support the proposed hub plan in it’s current form. We recognize the potential loss of the DIA funding, but feel strongly that the community is not in a position to make decisions or comment on the desirability, or not, of the hub. There are: – no up-to-date projections of operating costs – no indications of staffing resources – no up-to-date list of who or what the proposed hub will cater for

Annual Plan 2026/2027

The Annual Plan 2026/2027 This is when TDC sets how our rates are going to be spent over the coming year. But more than that, it also impacts future planning. Every time we ask that TDC ‘do something,’ the first question they have to ask is where the funding will come from. If there’s no budget, how can we expect them to do it? One of the questions in the Annual Plan is how TDC should fund the shortfall for the 2025 floods; there are four options for you to choose from. Take a look, and let them know which
