Tapawera Playcentre

Mondays and Thursdays, 10-12:30 at the Memorial Hall

Our village becomes your village at Playcentre: fun and friendship for you and your children in endless experiences that last a lifetime.

Playcentre creates a sense of belonging as families share responsibilities and decision making.

This offers families the chance to play, grow and learn together, as well as forge meaningful friendships with other families in the community.
Catering to families with children aged 0-6 years.

Community Library

The community library is part of the school library at Tapawera Area School.

Open to residents during term time on weekdays 10.30am-1.30pm. Members can also get book outs in school hours through contacting the school office.

The library is located directly behind the tennis courts at the school. Membership is free and the library has a great range of adult fiction and non-fiction books. Members can access the library catalogue online.

Golden Bush Garden Club

Encouraging the nurture of gardens and friendships within the region.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month, either at a local garden with our own picnic, or on occasion a venue where we might have a guest speaker.

Money is raised through monthly raffles, and an auction where members vie for donated plants or garden related items.

Funds are used to support local charities, as well as subsidise special outings for members. Where else can you get such value for a $5 annual membership?!
