The Tapawera district is fortunate to now have its own kindergarten run by Nelson Tasman Kindergartens located on Tapawera Area School grounds. This enables an easy transition to school and simplifies life for families with young children.

Nurse Clinics: A Nurse Clinic is held every second Tuesday from 12:30–1:30pm in the Health Room at Tapawera Area School. The clinic is free to school pupils.
