Come and be part of Tapawera’s School & Community Garden!
The garden is an exciting collaboration between Tapawera Area School and the Tapawera community. The school uses the garden as part of teaching programmes and community volunteers see the garden as a key part of boosting food resilience in Tapawera and increasing food security.

Greig Price, Podiatrist, is willing to visit clients (of all ages) in their homes in Tapawera and surrounds. The Tapawera district is fortunate to now have its own kindergarten run by Nelson Tasman Kindergartens located on Tapawera Area School grounds. This enables an easy transition to school and simplifies life for families with young children.

Wakefield Health Centre provides services in Tapawera during school term time.
GP Clinic: Held Mondays 9am-12midday at the Plunket Rooms in Rata Street.
Nurse Clinics: A Nurse Clinic is held every second Tuesday from 12:30–1:30pm in the Health Room at Tapawera Area School. The clinic is free to school pupils.
Purpose HQ Fitness Trust is a small community trust that run local initiatives for health and wellbeing for the community.

Wakefield Health Centre offers a wide range of specialised health services. GP appointments can be made for either face to face or telephone consultations. The cost of the appointment is the same regardless of which option you choose.
