First Method: Gathering Qi (Tian Yuan)
This method involves the coordinated use of mind and body to release and unblock tensions while gathering in new, fresh energy.
Physical Aspect: A series of symmetrical, flowing movements.
Benefits:
Increases energy
Reduces stress and tension, especially in the neck and shoulders
Begins to nourish the organs in the body
Calms the mind
Second Method: Nourishing Qi (Di Yuan)
This method uses standing postures and breathing directed to qi storage areas (Dantians) to nourish the body. It directs the mind to a calm, relaxed, and natural state.
Benefits:
Increases energy
Strengthens the body at the muscular-skeletal level
Calms and clears the mind
Morning tea will be provided, byo lunch.
