Tapawera Creative Fibre

Tapawera Creative Fibre is a craft group that specialises in all manner of crafting. Approximately half of our group are affiliated with Creative Fibre NZ, meaning that there is an emphasis on wool and fibre, the rest of the group are happy to remain crafters as we are. The group remains dedicated to offering up skilling and trying new skills as we learn of them. We have no shortage of new ideas or future learning coming up in our programme. Come and visit, have a look at what we do, you are most welcome. If you wish to learn a new craft, we have the resources.

MenzShed

  • engage and support all groups of men in the Tapawera and districts community to promote identity, sociability, companionship, physical activity, and education;
  • share, disseminate and preserve the skills, abilities and interests that are relevant to the members and the community.

Golden Bush Garden Club

Encouraging the nurture of gardens and friendships within the region.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month, either at a local garden with our own picnic, or on occasion a venue where we might have a guest speaker.

Money is raised through monthly raffles, and an auction where members vie for donated plants or garden related items.

Funds are used to support local charities, as well as subsidise special outings for members. Where else can you get such value for a $5 annual membership?!
