The Annual Plan 2026/2027

This is when TDC sets how our rates are going to be spent over the coming year. But more than that, it also impacts future planning. Every time we ask that TDC ‘do something,’ the first question they have to ask is where the funding will come from. If there’s no budget, how can we expect them to do it?

One of the questions in the Annual Plan is how TDC should fund the shortfall for the 2025 floods; there are four options for you to choose from. Take a look, and let them know which you prefer.

The Annual Plan document shows where TDC’s income comes from, and where it goes; here’s your chance to object to the unnecessary and support the essential.

Of course, there are the issues which get into the media, especially around proposed community facilities like the Motueka Pool. Do take time to check out the proposals, and have your say.

Making a submission can be done by any one of several options:

Regardless of the method you use to give feedback, your submission must include your full name, email address and/or postal address.

Submissions close 5pm on Sunday 3rd May 2026 (yep, only a few days away).

Please do take this opportunity to explain your views, whether you support, are neutral, or oppose the proposals. They are keen to hear from all of us.

Below are the links to the Annual plan. The first is the short version, designed for the person with just a few minutes to spare, whereas the second has the whole plan, in full.
